Celebrating a Decade of Impact: The Lasting Legacy of Our NICU Partnership

NICU Partnership Impact

A Lasting Legacy

Join Newborn Hope and the NICU Consortium Partnership in celebrating over a decade of vital work on behalf of premature infants and their families. For over a decade, the NICU Consortium Partnership has united families, healthcare clinicians, advocates, and community members to create a coordinated discharge and follow-up care system for infants departing the NICU to return home and into communities. This online celebration will reflect on the influential work achieved; the lives transformed, and the legacy this collaboration leaves behind.

Improving Care and Education in the Prematurity Community

The NICU Consortium Partnership has been vital in advancing care and support for Colorado's premature babies and their families, such as discharge preparation and follow-up for preterm infant families. They brought together families, healthcare providers, advocates, and community members to support infants and their families transitioning from the NICU to their homes and communities.

The webinars and community forums provided opportunities for learning about the needs of premature, medically complex babies and their families and networking with others who shared the goal of supporting families transitioning home from the NICU through a "warm handoff" to essential and knowledgeable community resources and support. We are deeply grateful for their impact on understanding premature infants and their families' unique needs.

Looking to the Future

While the NICU Consortium Partnership is closing this chapter of its work, Newborn Hope remains dedicated to carrying the torch and improving the lives of premature infants and their families. The lessons, relationships, and systems built over the past decade inspire our mission and motivate us to provide the necessary resources for families navigating their NICU journey.

This online celebration will be a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of the NICU Consortium Partnership and to all who have worked so hard to help families navigate one of the most challenging chapters of their lives. We're excited to celebrate this Partnership and continue to bring hope to Colorado's premature community.

The virtual celebration will be on April 23, 2025 from 9:30 am - 11:30 am. Although, it is an open event we kindly ask you to register.
