Providing hope for Colorado’s premature community

Our mission

At Newborn Hope, our unwavering mission revolves around supporting families impacted by prematurity, providing essential resources and educational materials tailored to preemies and their unique needs. We strive to be a beacon of hope in the NICU journey, offering guidance and assistance to healthcare professionals while advocating for increased funding to further our cause.

The values that define us

  • We are steadfast, inclusive, and empowering.

  • We embody resilience, supporting families through the ups and downs of the NICU journey and celebrating their strength and courage.

  • We value collaboration with healthcare partners, organizations, and communities to address gaps in resources and provide comprehensive support to families.

  • We pledge to operate with integrity, transparency, and honesty in all aspects of our work, ensuring the trust and confidence of our stakeholders.

Our work

Since 1973, Newborn Hope has been steadfast in its mission to provide comprehensive care and unwavering support to families impacted by prematurity throughout Colorado.

Our commitment spans a range of vital programs, from prenatal education aimed at promoting safe pregnancies and early detection of preterm labor risks, to supplying essential equipment to organizations statewide dedicated to improving outcomes for premature infants.

We also host an annual education conference for medical professionals, focusing on emerging trends and best practices in NICU care. Furthermore, we offer post-NICU support to Colorado families as they transition back home, ensuring they have the resources and guidance they need during this critical time.

In 2019, in collaboration with our healthcare partners, Newborn Hope identified a crucial gap in resources for Colorado families transitioning home from the NICU. In response, we launched the Preemie Family Assistance Fund (PFAF), dedicated to providing equitable care by ensuring all Colorado families have access to the resources and support network necessary for a successful transition from the NICU to home.

Our initiatives

Programs

The Preemie Family Assistance Fund and the NICU Partnership bring together families, healthcare providers, family advocates, and community members, to support infants and their families when they leave the NICU and transition home.

Community Grants

The funds are directed towards various programs aimed at preventing prematurity, providing essential equipment for the care of premature neonates, supporting neonatal research, and ensuring access to maternal, prenatal, and neonatal care for medically underserved communities.

Fundraising Events and Advocacy

We are continuously exploring innovative methods and strategies to enhance our programs by raising funds during our annual events. Our advocacy efforts aim to influence policy and create systemic changes and prematurity awareness.
